Having an iPad on the coffee table makes this so much worse. I’ve caught myself picking it up to answer a similar question, then immediately realised that I don’t even *care* to know the answer. Now that effort is no longer a barrier to finding information, the information at the “useless” end of the spectrum has become disproportionately accessible.
So, so true. Same. IMDB is on my phone and I’ve missed important plot points of films and shows from going through it to find out some supporting character’s acting CV! I’m sure the writers, directors and crew would be so happy to know their efforts have been reduced to this.
